No Shortage of Candidates at Meet and Greet

On Wednesday, February 12, Robert Young, candidate for Winnebago County Board District 17 representative participated in a Primary Candidate Meet and Greet event hosted by the League of Women Voters of Greater Rockford. All candidates who are on the ballot for the Winnebago County Primary Election on March 17, 2020, were invited to participate, and the turnout indicates a highly-engaged slate of candidates!

The event was moderated by WREX weekend anchor Lauren Baker. Each candidate was given two minutes to introduce themselves, and then respond to a question submitted by a resident in attendance. The event provided an excellent opportunity to learn more about many of the races on the ballot as well as the candidates running for those races. Young was pleased to meet many Winnebago County residents, both from within and outside District 17, and it was an honor for the event to be held at the North Suburban Library which is within the bounds of District 17.

To view a sample ballot and review all of the races and candidates that are up for vote in the primary, visit the Rockford Board of Elections or the Winnebago County Clerk websites.
